Software solutions for smart home gateways,

mesh extenders, IoT devices and value add services.

A multi-vendor strategy for hardware

Service Providers have a unique position to strengthen their presence in the home and offer great connected home services and experiences. Because the connected home is not one segment, but multiple, a unified controllable software independent hardware is a must. To separate software from hardware – software/hardware decoupling – is a strong trend in today’s gateway market.

EnsemblePRO is a software that can run on a variety of different hardware platforms and works in a unified way.

Pick and choose functionality

EnsemblePRO is available in several standard configurations as well as customized to suit specific customer requirements.

Key elements in EnsemblePRO:

  • Operator management in focus
  • Certified and qualified by large operators
  • Hardware and access technology agnostic
  • Built around open standards
  • Open for integration of third-party applications
  • Mesh capable
  • Triple play services
  • VoIP over IP supporting POTS and DECT
  • Wi-Fi hotspot

Dynamic and proven

EnsemblePRO software is deployed and used on multiple vendors chipsets (SoC) and CPE manufacturers hardware. EnsemblePRO is deployed in many markets and operator networks, from Hong Kong to the Middle East and Europe. EnsemblePRO SDK for 3PP applications and services have been available since 2016. Initially, EnsemblePRO attracted cyber security providers, but the importance of the connected home business has increased. It is developing into a smart connected home business where the user experience is central and TTM and TCO are critical.

The buzz right now is around containers and an app-enabled ‘smart gateway’. While we’ve always been advocates of this model (we’ve had an app-store for IOWRT for nearly 10 years), the hardware, memory, and operator resources are finally there to realize this.

IOPSYS

Depending on where you are as a CSP, you are better positioned to compete if you have a much more open system. You can’t be competitive in a fast-moving landscape if you buy software from a vendor where it’s not open-source, and you can’t impact the code

Senior Business Leader

Today, many service providers and gateway manufacturers share common challenges in sustaining siloed software platforms for their hardware. Relying on proprietary software has many hidden costs to consider.

IOPSYS

I saw that OpenWrt is a perfect base for our gateway; all the basics are already in place with a good operating system we could use. We have the ability to put our application on top.
